Jon Fro is a Northwest singer-songwriter, producer and sound engineer whose music blends folk, rock and indie into something soulful, honest and entirely his own. After spending his early childhood moving throughout the United States, Jon settled in Oregon at the age of ten.
Surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and coming of age during the region's influential alternative and grunge rock movement of the 1990s, his songwriting was shaped by both the natural beauty and the musical spirit of the Northwest.
Across six solo albums — Afterthoughts, Archives, Been On A Journey, Out From Within, The Typewriter Album, and his newest release All The Pieces — Jon has built a body of work driven by heartfelt storytelling and deeply personal lyrics. His songs explore love, loss, resilience and the raw beauty of human connection, inviting listeners into a world where lived experience and universal emotion intertwine.
As a seasoned producer and sound engineer, every detail of his music is intentional and purposefully crafted. On stage, Jon is a captivating presence, drawing audiences in and leaving them moved.
Featured in the Portland Tribune (Rob Cullivan) and Salem Monthly (Jason Stringer).
